This May I will be teaching a couple of workshops at the Paper Place on Queen W in Toronto. See below for details, and contact the Paper Place at 416.703.0089 to reserve your spot!
Creative Kite-making - Wed. May 13th 6:30-8:30
Learn to construct a beautiful kite that you will want to make sure stays out of the trees! In this workshop you will build the kite frame, choose paper to make and decorate the kite, and learn some neat techniques for making a fancy tail. I will show examples of decorative kites I have made in other shapes and styles. You will take home a joyful and unique creation perfect for hanging in a nursery or kids room, or for brightening up any part of your home!
Lino-cut Pattern Art - Wed. May 27th 6:30-8:30
Learn to carve a simple lino-cut motif that can be repeated to create a pattern. Experiment with printing in different colours on a beautiful selection of Japanese papers. Play with the combinations of colours and textures. Arrange to create multi-coloured patterns and gorgeous collage art that you can frame and give as a gift, or keep for your home. I will show inspiring examples of what can be achieved using these simple but effective techniques.

AND in other news, I will not be exhibiting at the National Stationery Show this year, but will be launching a new collection complete with 2010 Calendar at the NYIGF in August. No sneak peeks yet, but it's looking pretty gorgeous so STAY TUNED!
